The piece on the left is made of Japanese painted fern and coral bells. On the right you will see bee balm and Queen Ann's lace. They are both 5x7 and matted to fit your 8x10 frame.

'Peonies in a Blue Bowl' is 5"x7" and was in the 2008 World Wide Pressed Flower Guild Conference Competition. It took a Third Place ribbon in its category. It has a 3" double mat of a mottled beige color with a darker brown inside mat color. The wood frame is a brushed silver color and measures about 2 1/2" wide...simple, yet elegant. The bowl is created with delphinium petals, the walls are of fall day lily leaves, the table is of fall amaryllis leaves, the window is of the white poplar leaf, the window panes are of tulip petals and the book is of rose petals. The peonies are the petals of this lovely flower that have been pulled apart, pressed and then reconstructed.
This one is sealed and conservation glass is used.

'Twilight' is shown here unframed. The background is made of poinsettia leaves covered with sanwa tissue. The vase is made of rose petals and the tablecloth is made of white poplar leaves. The vase contains larkspur, daisies, coral bells, Japanese maple leaves, amaranth and wild grasses. This piece was inspired by a project that was shown in a book by Russian artist/author Ludmila Beletskaya. After I completed the piece I wrote a letter to Ludmila and she very graciously responded. She even had wonderful words of encouragement for me..."You expressed your own outlook and understanding of beauty. You are a wonderful pupil!"
